Prosperity, democracy, civilization and harmony are the value goals at the national level, freedom, equality, justice and the rule of law are the value orientations at the social level, and patriotism, dedication, integrity and friendship are the values of citizens at the individual level. These 24 words are the basic contents of the socialist core values.

"Prosperity, democracy, civilization and harmony" is the goal of building a modern socialist country in China. It is also a refinement of the basic concepts of socialist core values from the perspective of value objectives. It is the highest level of socialist core values and plays a leading role in other levels of values. Prosperity means that the country is prosperous and the people are strong.
